Using specially designed software and a variety of sound synthesis techniques, my performance will respond to the textural and material qualities of the Norman Chapel. My tools include a home programmed sonic microscope, pre-captured field recordings of the space and a variety of granular synthesis techniques. Without ignoring the cultural and historical importance of the Chapel, I hope for my performance to instead focus on the raw material and setting of this unique environment.
